Single Serve PB Banana Protein Bread

Banana bread is probably one of the most comforting foods ever. Especially warm. And with peanut butter on top.

Unfortunately, my favorite banana bread recipe is full of refined ingredients 😦

Luckily for me, I saw that Mar Mar’s Happiness made a protein banana bread for one, AND it has peanut butter swirled in! 😛

I’ve made chocolate banana bread before, and had a feeling it would go really well with the whole peanut butter situation. And I had a packet of Quest Salted Caramel Protein Powder that I bought at GNC the other day that I wanted to use. This stuff is unreal. I made a frosting to go with my chocolate pb banana bread by just mixing the powder and water, and it was so delicious.

Substitutions and Products Used:

Try About Time Chocolate Whey

PB Fit

Honey Vanilla Nut Butter Nation PB

-Omitted the cinnamon

+Added 5 grams of cocoa powder

This recipe, no surprise, was pretty amazing. I’ve never been disappointed with any of the recipes on Mar Mar’s Happiness. Also, the flavor combination of chocoalte and salted caramel went together really well.

I underbaked mine because I tend to like things gooey, but I think I would bake it a little longer next time. I would also use some flour instead of the PB Fit, because it didn’t have enough bite. It was a little smushy. Like you could roll the baked squares into a ball and it would stay that way. I also couldn’t really taste the peanut butter through the chocolate and salted caramel, so next time I would stick with less flavors. Even though it was amazing anyway.

I would definitely recommend this recipe!
