Clean Almond Flour Brownies

I found out the hard way that recreating the texture of brownies with healthy ingredients is NOT easy. That’s why I was soooo shocked when these came out gooey and fudgey and incredibly close to regular brownies!

Warning: they are a wee bit banana-y and not very sweet. You can definitely add more sweetener, but I prefer the dark chocolate taste. I would imagine you can use avocado or maybe even pumpkin instead of banana, but it will probably change the texture. Also, the less ripe your banana is, the less banana-y it will taste.

Clean Almond Flour Brownie Recipe:

1 Tbsp coconut oil

1 banana

1/3 cup honey

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 cup almond flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

  1. Preheat to 350.
  2. Melt coconut oil.
  3. Mash banana into melted coconut oil. Add honey and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Add all other ingredients, mix well.
  5. Pour into parchment lined loaf pan and bake about 20 minutes or until set.

  1. Creating amazing vegan brownies as is can be tricky – I’ve tried many so-so ones – but adding gluten- and sugar-free to the list of requirements – whew! Well done, girl! These sound delicious.
